The MV Quinitsa ferry works between Denman Island and Buckley Bay on Vancouver Island. We installed two 80 kW generators sets powered by John Deere IMO-compliant engines. These generator sets power all electrical devices on the vessel, including navigation aids, hydraulic pump packs, heating, ventilation and lighting. They were paralleled by Comar Marine Electric, and tested by Frontier.

Electronically controlled. Fitted with double wall high pressure fuel lines with leak detection. Murphy code readers on the generator sets and in the switchboard give the onboard engineers the info they need. The gensets are are mounted on custom built structural steel skid bases which rest on spring isolators.
